Correction and Retraction Policy
Jurnal Peduli : Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat takes responsibility for maintaining the integrity and completeness of our scientific content to all users very seriously. Changes to articles after online publication can only be made in the circumstances outlined below. The journal places high importance on the authority of articles after publication and our policy is based on best practices in the academic publishing community.
Erratum is a statement from the authors of the original paper that briefly explains any corrections resulting from errors or omissions. Any effect on the conclusions of the paper must be noted. The corrected article is not removed from the online journal, but an erratum notice is provided. The erratum is freely available to all readers and linked to the corrected article.
Retraction is a notification that a paper should not be considered part of the scientific literature. Retractions are issued if there is clear evidence that:
- The findings are unreliable; this may be due to misconduct or dishonesty;
- The previous findings have been published elsewhere and the author did not include proper references, permission, and/or plagiarized the work;
- It reports unethical research.
To protect the integrity of the work, retracted articles are not removed from the online journal, but a retraction notice is provided, which is freely available to all readers, and linked to the retracted article. Retractions may be published by authors if they discover substantial scientific errors; in other cases, the Editor or Publisher may conclude that a retraction must be made. In all cases, the retraction indicates the reason for the action and who is responsible for the decision. If a retraction is made without the absolute consent of the authors, it is also noted. In rare and extreme cases involving legal violations, the Publisher may edit or remove the article. Bibliographic information about the article will be retained to ensure the integrity of the scientific record.
The Publisher notifies readers that an article has been corrected after publication. This is issued by the Publisher and used in cases of typographical or production errors (which are the Publisher's errors) that affect the integrity of the article's metadata (such as title, author list, or byline) or would significantly affect a reader's ability to understand the article. The original article is removed and replaced with the corrected version. Publisher's Notes are freely available to all readers. Minor errors that do not affect metadata integrity or a reader's ability to understand an article and that do not involve scientific errors or omissions will be corrected at the Publisher's discretion.
In such cases, the original article is removed and replaced with the corrected version. The date the correction is made is recorded on the corrected article. Authors should also note that original articles can only be removed and replaced with the corrected version less than one year after the original publication date. Corrections to articles with a publication date older than one year will only be documented by a Publisher's Note.
