IMPLEMENTASI BIMBINGAN KONSELING DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN SOSIAL EMOSIONAL AUD YANG ORANG TUANYA MENJADI PEKERJA MIGRAN

Abstract

Becoming a migrant worker is one way to address family financial challenges. However, there are many consequences for families who become migrant workers, one of which is having to leave their family and children behind. When a child is left behind, they experience feelings of confusion, discomfort, longing, loneliness, and even loss. While previously receiving love and attention from their parents, they no longer receive it. Although children receive attention and affection from their grandparents, this change can be difficult for them to understand and accept. Early childhood guidance and counseling aims to help children overcome personal, social, and academic problems. It also develops important social skills such as empathy, interaction with peers and teachers, and expressing emotions appropriately. The purpose of this study was to examine the implementation of guidance and counseling in developing children's social and emotional skills at Braja Indah Islamic Kindergarten. This study used descriptive qualitative research. With this type of research, data obtained from observations and interviews were described and reinforced with theory, resulting in concrete results. Research on the implementation of guidance and counseling in developing the social and emotional well-being of early childhood at Braja Indah Islamic Kindergarten found that guidance and counseling through group counseling can foster children's social and emotional development. Group counseling helps children learn to discuss, express their opinions, and listen to others, as well as understand the conditions and circumstances of others. Therefore, the more frequently it is implemented, the more it will change the social and emotional development of early childhood.
